We grew up being told to work hard and follow the rules.
Nobody told us the rules were written for someone else.
We’re Caleb and Mary Beth Lutz. Former teachers who found our way through service, sales, entrepreneurship, and a whole lot of conversations nobody else was having.
We built this channel because we needed it, and it didn’t exist.
Mary Beth Lutz
Mary Beth grew up outside of Chicago with a natural gift for leadership and thinking differently. She became a teacher and quickly realized the gap between the impact she wanted to make and what her paycheck allowed.
After transitioning to corporate training and creating an onboarding system for new hires at her company, she earned President's Club and multiple accolades, but was always up for a new challenge.
A friend recommended she try advertising sales, and in her first year she became a 6 figure earner and finished in the top 5% of the department. But what lit her fire most wasn't closing deals. It was watching other people find their confidence.
Today, Mary Beth speaks to groups, leads live workshops, and brings the kind of energy that makes a room feel like a conversation. She's the kind of person who takes big ideas from seeming possible to personal.
Caleb Lutz
Caleb grew up on a farm in south Georgia. His family lost it. They rebuilt via small business. Failed again. Started over. That cycle of loss and resilience shaped everything about how Caleb approaches money, business, and life.
He trained to teach math, but became dissatisfied at the practical life skills never taught during practicums and subbing.
Over a summer break, he entered the business arena despite swearing he never would. Nine months later, he finished in the top 3 sales reps at his company of 90+. He was promoted to corporate trainer the same month. He went on to win President’s Club multiple years running, built his own freight agency, and now coaches individuals making the same leap he did.
Caleb’s style is 1-on-1 real talk. Empathetic, yes, but getting to the bottom-line, honest conversation about where you are, where you want to go, and what’s actually in the way.
How We Got Here
Both Caleb and Mary Beth started as teachers - Mary Beth at a private school, Caleb as a substitute across 30 schools in Kansas City. They each earned below the poverty line. The gap between impact and income was real, and it was frustrating.
2013-2016 The Teaching Years
2016-2020 The Sales and Training Breakthrough
Caleb entered into security sales, and within 9 months became one of the top 3 reps at his company, as well as a sales trainer. Mary Beth transitioned to customer care training, won President’s Club, and in 2019 moved into advertising sales and became a 6-figure earner in year one.
Both discovered that the skills that make a great teacher - communication, clarity, and empathy - were the same skills them made a great seller.
October 2020 - They Meet
Caleb and Mary Beth meet at a networking event. They’d been living 10 minutes apart from each other for 5 years. He got her number to “talk sales.”
Two days later, they had their first date. Eight months later, Caleb proposed on a mini golf course, because having fun is what it’s all about. In December of 2021, they were married. And the rest, as they say, is the channel.
2022 - Present - Building What They Wish Existed
Caleb launched his own freight agency, and Mary Beth moved into freelance sales training alongside her sales role. Together they built Lutz Grow - and realized the people who needed them most weren’t corporate clients. They were individuals capable of everything, and had never been shown the right doors.
The realization became What They Don’t Teach You.
